Soviet authorities did everything they could to erase the ancient history of this town, and after Chernobyl, they destroyed its future. The contaminated town was not evacuated up until 1993. The information about the scale of contamination was suppressed by the KGB. This film reconstructs a human portrait of this lost town through conversations with illegal settlers, evacuees, historians, and liquidators of the Chernobyl disaster.
